Kevin Cameron

Representative Kevin Cameron is a successful business owner and community leader.  Through his service in the community and in business, he has proven that citizens can make a difference by getting involved in the lives of others and through leading by example.

Family

Kevin has been married to Judy for 25 years.  They have two daughters, Brianne and Amanda who are both working on advanced degrees at Oregon State University.

Business Leader

He is the founder and CEO of Café Today Restaurants and catering. The Cafe’s are in 12 locations throughout Oregon from Eugene to Portland. In 2000, Kevin received the Restaurateur of the Year Award from the Oregon Restaurant Association.

Community Leader

Rep. Cameron is an active member in the Salem community. Since 1992, he has served as a Board Member at Morningstar Community Church. He worked with the Battle Creek Little League as Softball Manager and led the All Star Team in their 1999 tournament. Kevin continues involvement with a number of community groups by giving of his time, business experience and finances. He currently serves on the OSU Alumni Board.

Legislator

Since appointment in February of 2005, Kevin Cameron has represented the people in House District 19 which includes portions of North Salem, South Salem and the Cities of Aumsville and Turner. After election in 2006, Representative Cameron served on the 2007 House Judiciary Committee and House Ways and Means Subcommittee for Public Safety. During the 2008 Session, he served on the House Judiciary and the Committee on Business and Labor. He continues on these committees during the interim, and also serves on the Governor’s Re-entry Council and the Attorney General’s Task Force on Underage Drinking. Kevin continues to seek ways to open the lines of communication between citizens, local organizations and state government. He is committed to being a bridge-builder by developing strong and transparent relationships.
